Marking of the cargo
The marking of the cargo is considered an integral part of the transportation process. The purpose of marking is to describe the cargoes to be shipped to the fullest extent. Which means that depending on the type of cargo the packaging is to be marked with the below stated handling marks – basic marks, additional marks and marks of informatory character. In Russian Federation the marking and labeling of cargo packaging is subject to International Standard of Cargo Marking which entered into force in January 1998.
